New LA duo Nite Swim is here with their appropriately name debut single, “Pool Party“. An Indie leaning Electronic Pop song with just the right amount of funk thanks to perfectly placed guitar plucks and intriguing rhythms.
The vocals are built on vibes, not pure vocal ability and perfect pitch. They blend into the production almost simply adding another melodic element to the track. Crunchy drums and synth stabs carry the tune, while high end harmonics fill the background and an interesting arrangement finds the track cutting to complete silence in sections only to come right back in with a smack to the eardrum.
It is an original sound with some cool production techniques and a great overall feel. Def a solid debut from Nite Swim.
