Hauskey Once Again Secures His Spot On My List of Favorite New Acts with ‘Go Wrong’

As a person who works at a record label and runs a blog in his free time – because he can never seem to get enough new music – I can say confidently that not many artists come out of the gate as impressively as Australian artist Hauskey. Since launching his solo project just last year, I have been hooked since day one and each new release only adds to the hype. Having already racked up millions of streams, while also landing top tier press coverage, steady airplay and building a devoted fanbase, there is just something about Hauskey that you can’t help fall in love with.

Penning poignant yet glistening bops, time and time again, the music he makes in his bedroom has some major appeal – no matter where you come from or who you think you are. Click play on any of his previous releases and then come back and try to tell me I’m wrong. Most recently, Hauskey has unveiled his latest single, “Go Wrong“, and it may be my favorite tune yet (although it’s nearly impossible for me to actually rank his tunes). Smooth, bubbly, fun and still totally emotive, this one is just yet another example of what he is bringing to the table – and I have no doubt that this next year is going to be absolutely massive for him. About the song he says, “If you’ve heard my music, you’ve probably picked up an air of pessimism in my writing. Lately, some exciting stuff has been happening, but my natural tendency to expect the worst is holding me back from enjoying it. And so, we have ‘Go Wrong;’ me and my brain being unable to celebrate a win, however small, because it’s so quickly on the lookout for the next stumbling block.”

Serving as his first single of the new year and the follow up to his widely-praised debut EP, “Go Wrong“, without a doubt helps to set the tone for 2021 and is more than enough to get us excited about what might be next. If you aren’t yet listening to Hauskey, do yourself a favor and get on board. You don’t want to be late to the party – I know I will be there.
