It’s Me Not You

NYC duo Me Not You is bringing grungy Electronic Rock vibes with their latest release, “Julia“, off of their upcoming EP, “Reckoning 1“, out September 8th.

With a sound that reminds me of the theme song for a spunky, 90’s, WB11 teen series, the overall energy is both nostalgic and pumping.  With dreamlike vocals supported by distorted guitar sounds, synthetic pads, keys and drums – it doesn’t take long before you start to feel like you’re ready to slay endless amounts of vampires.

The production is both hard and melodic, with a solid arrangement, leading to a transformative bridge, adding a bit of a major feel to the otherwise dissonant release.  While the track may feel a bit depressing, within the lyrics it is actually an inspirational one.
