NATION Emerges from Paris

Paris based NATION has found its groove combining Pop songwriting with futuristic R&B influences.  Their debut EP including, “Baltimore Rising“, showcases a synth-heavy, brooding brand of Future Soul that is sure to cross over boundaries and borders.

The project is interesting and emotional, and feels familiar although it has plenty of originality built in.  On, “Baltimore Rising“, simplistic production lead by bright keys and a ripping synth melody support the vocals that sit way up front with minimal effects, allowing them to take hold.

Once the song gets you hooked, things take a quick turn at the bridge, ramping up the energy and changing the vibe before bringing it back home.  While it seemingly comes out of nowhere and almost throws off the whole song, it adds a bit of fanatic energy and an interesting dynamic.
