Rick Wonder Coming in Hot

When NYC‘s Rick Wonder isn’t behind the decks tearing down some of the hottest spots in the tristate, he is hard at work in the studio making edits, remixes, mashups and originals for his next gig.

What I love most about his production is his ability to move between and across genres, creating flawless releases for whatever mood he may be in.  When we found his latest original, “Illest“, in our inbox we quickly realized that it was time to turn up the speakers and piss some neighbors off.

The Festival Trap record finds rick chopping and screwing some Hip-Hop vocals and combining them with slamming, screeching, pumping production.  Some haunting bells, huge horn stabs, 808’s, screaming synths and fast paced percussion all come together and combine with big builds and bigger drops to create a heavy as hell release.

I’m sure this one will quickly become a staple in his upcoming sets, so if you’re in NYC and get a chance to check him out… do yourself a favor.
