Rising Toronto artist Del has returned with another offering that’s sure to delight. Following the release of his project “Del Presents: A Sunset Special”, Del has released the visual for lead single “Karma (ft. Ojo)”. The dance infused, Hip-Hop track channels Del’s multicultural roots with an Afrobeat sound reminiscent of the music of Fela Kuti.
Much like the “Sunset Special” EP, “Karma” draws on the “end of Summer theme” to keep the good vibes going. In the visual, we find Del and a love interest enjoying a good time against the backdrop of picturesque Toronto. Featuring gorgeous shots of the cityscape and seaside, the video is an artwork in itself.
Discussing the backstory of the visual, Del explains that the concept for the video came together out of chance meetings with the videographer Lucas Carravetta and actress Ava Marie at events. “What’s more Summer than meeting up with like minded people and having a good time doing the things we love?”. We certainly love a good back story, and even more so love how awesome the accompanying visual is.
One of the hallmarks of Del’s music is that it’s uplifting and focuses on the best sides of life. Steering clear of more popular trends like Emo and Trap Hip-Hop, Del’s music is a vibe on its own. This is an artist forging his own path and doing it in style. Check out the “Karma” video below:
