Singer-Songwriter Francis Aud Releases New Hit “Codeine Kiss”

The unclaimed love child of Al Green, James Brown, and more contemporarily, Bruno Mars, Allen Stone, and Paolo Nutini, Francis Aud is a singer, songwriter, bandleader and above all, modern day entertainer who writes and performs music that will cause you to engage in one or more of the following behaviors:

  1. make a stank face (unless someone around you just farted

  2. bob your head up-and-down (unless you have a neck injury then please don’t)

  3. feel things in your loins (unless you were feeling something before in which case see a licensed medical professional)

  4. make you wanna dance (flamenco, samba, merengue, breakdance, hell, bust out a Viennese waltz I’m totally here for it)

  5. All of the above

Since releasing his debut EP Tender Things in July 2017, Francis has performed at notable venues such as: Bowery Ballroom, Brooklyn Bowl, The Hotel Cafe, Mercury Lounge, Rockwood Music Hall, and alongside Sofar Sounds across the country. Francis has established himself as a consummate entertainer who knows how to work and wow a crowd and continues to rise as one of New York’s most notable, fun, and endearing musicians.

After his first release in 2017, Francis then began to move away from his retro-soul beginnings and started writing and releasing music that he likes to call, “FONK™ MUSIC”, his own unique blend of funk and pop and from 2018 to the present, he has released a slew of FONKY™ singles in preparation for his next large release.

In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic (and what at times feels like the end of the world), Francis is currently writing and recording new material, re-working and honing his live show, practicing his (terrible at best) dance moves, and planning the release of more original music throughout the year and early 2021.
