Following hot on the heels of his debut single, “Diamonds”, Atlanta based MC Tommie King is back once again with a new jam, “Dead Up”.
The new wave Hip-Hop track sees Tommie swaying with fresh melodies and spitting slick rhymes. The Electronic Trap production uses heavy 808’s, filtered bass lines and ambient vocal chops to set the tone for the verses.
While we tend to usually stay away from this type of Hip-Hop, what grabbed us on this one is the overall vibe and energy delivered through the vocal performance. Everything coming together to create a solid tune that is sure to work with the new generation of Hip-Hop heads.
It may be super early for Tommie King, but I think he’s going to be turning some heads moving forward. Keep an eye out for his debut project, “Axiom”, as it is in the works and they look to secure a release date.
