A Vibrant Tribute Album to The Clash Features Notable Artists

Shared Medium, a leading arts nonprofit and production company, proudly announces the release of "Hearts & Minds & Crooked Beats," a vibrant tribute album dedicated to the iconic punk rock band, The Clash. Scheduled to release on what has been coined ‘International Clash Day’, their tribute not only pays homage to The Clash's groundbreaking music but also serves a noble cause by benefiting the International Rescue Committee (IRC).

The International Rescue Committee is a global humanitarian organization dedicated to responding to the world's most severe crises. They tirelessly aid individuals whose lives have been upended by conflict and disaster, offering critical assistance in the form of clean water, shelter, health care, education, and empowerment support to refugees and displaced people in over 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities. Shared Medium has partnered with the IRC specifically to raise money for Palestinian civilians who are struggling to gain access to critical supplies like food, water and healthcare.

"Hearts & Minds & Crooked Beats" invites both bands and visual artists to draw inspiration from The Clash and channel their creativity into a compilation that not only celebrates the band's music but also echoes their powerful human rights message. Curated by Shared Medium, the highly anticipated project showcases the intersection of music and art as a force for positive change. The album, mastered by the legendary Ted Jensen (known for his work with Eagles, Green Day, Norah Jones, Alice In Chains), features an impressive lineup of contributors, including The Dandy Warhols, Mirah, Teke::Teke, Smokey Brights, Sean Barna, Warren Dunes, The Gotobeds, Big League, Labasheeda, and The Rust & The Fury. "Hearts & Minds & Crooked Beats" is set for release on vinyl and as a digital download. International Clash Day marks a global celebration of The Clash's impact on music and culture, and this tribute album promises to be a fitting homage to their enduring legacy.

To commemorate the album's launch, release concerts will be held in Seattle at the KEXP Gathering Space and in New York City at Brooklyn Made. These events promise an immersive experience, bringing the spirit of The Clash to life through live performances and visual displays inspired by the band's revolutionary ethos. Proceeds from the album sales will go directly to the International Rescue Committee, supporting their vital work in responding to humanitarian crises and helping individuals rebuild their lives.
