Australian rockers The Nomadic escape the darkness with latest single "First Light"

Aussie-American rockers The Nomadic recently shared their latest single “First Light”, which is the latest from their upcoming New Horizons album, due to be released this summer.

“First Light” comes after recent singles “All Changed” and “Treading Water”, also from the upcoming New Horizons album.

Singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist Rob Gaylard is the creative vision behind The Nomadic, which plays catchy tunes influenced by 90s Britpop, alt/ country, folk and contemporary Americana rock. Rob is an Aussie who grew up as a nomad in Australia, Burma, Singapore, the Solomon Islands and the UK.

Rob moved to New York in 2012, and, driven by the cities’ can-do attitude and creative spirit, started The Nomadic in 2014. The group’s first album My Mind Is Racing was released in January 2022 to critical acclaim.

The Nomadic includes a vast array of Australian rock talent, with Miles Thomas (Lior, Ronan Keating, Montaigne) on drums, Oliver Thorpe (The Whitlams, Matt Corby, Meg Mac) on guitar, and Brendan Clark (Meg Mac, Montaigne, Jack River) on bass. Dan Frizza as producer lends the kind of magic touch that has seen him enrich the work of the likes of Tones & I, King Princess, and Gurrumul.
