We can't get enough of alt-pop artist Beck Pete. Her latest hit "Softie" (now available on all streaming platforms) tells a tale stemmed from heartbreak and the desire to start over anew. Self-healing in nature, "Softie" is rooted in the message that true love will arrive but not until you love yourself first. Released as the first single off of her upcoming project this year, the track was originally entitled "Big Mouth" to represent her desire for initiation - for someone to pursue her rather than feeling societal pressure to actively pursue the male gaze. And the release drops right in time for the "New Year, New Me" mindset.
