Bent Joshua Releases New 8-Track Album "At My Wit's End"

Updated: Jul 30

Bent Joshua’s journey into music is as vibrant and dynamic as the sounds he creates. Born in the mid-90s in New Jersey, Bent's early years were filled with storytelling, a love for the written word, and an unbounded imagination. His creative expression found an outlet through piano lessons at age 10 and writing his first poems at 11. Though he paused writing poetry for a while, his passion for words was rekindled in college through spoken word poetry, heavily influenced by YouTuber Suli Breaks. This period of intense writing, coupled with a growing interest in rap music, eventually led Bent to merge his poetic sensibilities with rhythmic beats, culminating in his first rap tracks. His latest project, "At My Wits' End," is the pinnacle of this evolution, showcasing his unique blend of introspective lyricism and compelling musicality.

"At My Wits' End," Bent Joshua’s fifth project and second studio-recorded release, is a compelling eight-track journey through a spectrum of emotions that have colored the artist’s life over the past year. From the excitement and joy to grief and anger, Bent's raw honesty is the driving force behind this project. The album captures his thoughts and feelings with an authenticity that resonates deeply, even if the subject matter isn't universally relatable. Each track on the album offers a window into Bent’s mind, with lighthearted moments intertwined with darker, more introspective themes. The production quality is exceptional, thanks to the collaboration with producer @ZackSymes of Wonderland Recording Studios. This partnership has elevated Bent’s music, allowing his lyrics and the accompanying beats to shine brightly.

The lead single, "Coffee," is a standout track that encapsulates the essence of Bent Joshua’s artistry. It’s a perfect blend of catchy rhythms, smooth groove and swag. Bent’s ability to convey a story through his music is evident in this track, making it both relatable and profoundly personal. As Bent himself states, “What I hope to achieve is the authenticity of what I write translates in some way to the listener, even if it is not something they particularly like.” This sentiment is vividly realized in "Coffee," as it draws listeners into Bent’s world, making them feel every nuance of his journey. The entire album, "At My Wits' End," is a testament to Bent Joshua’s growth as an artist and his unwavering commitment to authenticity. For anyone seeking music that is both emotionally rich and musically engaging, Bent Joshua’s work is not to be missed. Follow his journey and let his music provide an honest and heartfelt escape from the everyday grind.
