Billboard-Charting Singer-Songwriter, Caroline Romano, Releases Her New Song, "Panic Attack"

Updated: Mar 14, 2022

Caroline Romano is a Billboard-charting singer-songwriter hailing from Mississippi, who was named “music’s next big thing” by AOL. She has made a name for herself in the music industry by amassing over 2.7 million streams on her song “I Still Remember,” featuring R3HAB, and has shared the stage with many other notable artists, like Shawn Mendes. Caroline continues to put out bold and honest new music, like her newest release “Panic Attack.”

"Panic Attack" explores the heightened experience of going under a state of paralysis, yet still finding the hope to push through, despite not knowing if the feeling will ever go away. Her lyrics highlight the self-judgment that occurs for those who deal with mental health issues, especially those with anxiety. She speaks from experience about the overwhelming pressure and lack of stillness that exists in our current oversaturated digital world. Despite the intensity and rawness of her lyrics, the richness of her guitar and a sweet drizzle of the violin makes “Panic Attack” not only a relatable song but a soothing one as well. Caroline states,

“I wrote “Panic Attack' in a parked car after one of the worst panic attacks I’ve ever experienced. I had just gotten off the phone with my mom, frantic because I didn’t know what to do or how to help myself. The only thing I knew to do was to write it all down. It’s still not something I can fully put into words, but writing this song helped pull me out of my own head. I’m an incredibly anxious person and I’ve struggled with my mental health for as long as I can remember, which is why it felt so important to spotlight ‘Panic Attack’ as a single. The last line of the song is, ‘I think I’m gonna be okay,’ because I truly believe that— I believe it for myself and for anyone listening. We’re going to be more than okay.”

Caroline’s songwriting abilities showcase her witty, introspective, and hopeful take on modernity, romanticism, and the highs and lows of being young in today’s world. A distinctive and heartfelt voice in the music world, Caroline Romano wants us to know she is here to stay. She is not only an extremely talented singer-songwriter but an anti-bullying advocate, partnering with the PACER organization to address the effects of bullying in the world of social media.
