Brandyn Burnette Scores with ‘Layup’

While it may have been a minute since it has happened- it is always great to see new Brandyn Burnette in my inbox.  Im not going to go too deep into the buzzing LA artists achievements or accolades… if you’re not familiar yet… you probably still listen to terrestrial radio.

While he has taken nearly a year off from solo releases (still delivering features and collabs), he has clearly been hard at work.  Recently he dropped this gem with Dwilly and Kayo Genesis….

Now preparing the release of his new album, he has already dropped the lead single, “Run”, which landed in Spotify New Music Friday playlists around the world.

For the second single from the project, Brandyn has teamed up with French tastemakers Kitsune for his latest jam, “Layup”.  The smooth and sexy jam is everything you’d want from a Brandyn Burnette tune.  Really solid lyrics, quality melodies and a knack for staying on trend at every turn.  On top of a bright, yet muted production, Brandyn brings a great bounce to the track.

Snappy percussion, muted synths and bright keys play off of each other create the vibe for Brandyn to sway on.  A nice Pop structure, R&B melodies and some funky embellishments and production techniques all come together for another solid release and a nice addition to his growing catalog.
