CAEZAR Share New Single Ahead of Debut EP

Hailing from the town of Cheltenham in the UK, buzzing Indie Pop trio CAEZAR was formed on a whim and has been killing ever since.  After both founding members sustained sports injuries and realized they would no longer be able to play rugby, Chris Quigley and Rich Gills decided to take their passion for music to the next level.  While up until this point they had kept their talents on the low, as it often does, an unfortunate event gave them the drive they needed to give it a go.

In 2017 they added a third member, Zoe to the group – like a missing puzzle piece, it all seemed to come together.  Since their formation, they have been likened to Imagine Dragons and Bastille, been featured on BBC Introducing, shared the stage with Hozier, James Bay and Jack Garrett, and have landed on the radar of plenty of tastemakers.  Now preparing to release their debut EP, “HAIL!”, they have teamed up with mastering engineer Stuart Hawkes (Amy Winehouse, Clean Bandit, Rudimental) producer Justin Broad (Jessie J, Emeli Sandé, Izzy Bizu, Corinne Bailey Rae) to Briggs it all to life.

Lucky for us, CAEZAR have recently unleashed the lead single, “Somewhere New”, and it is an outright jam.  Finding the perfect blend between acoustic and electronic elements, CAEZAR combines elements or Pop, Indie and Rock into a flawless, uplifting and anthemic tune.  With Chris Quigley’s powerful vocals sitting front and center, the tune opens with muted drums and dreamy keys before quickly picking up the pace and breaking out into an energetic and pumping chorus.

While the single may have just dropped, the group has been testing it out at their live gigs.  They say, “Wherever we’ve performed this track, it has always received an amazing reaction from the crowd. It’s turned into bit of an anthem for adventure-seekers and for those wanting to escape the monotony of day-to-day life. The vocals and the melody of the chorus are so uplifting it’s hard not to feel raised-up by it, and with Justin’s production on the beats, the track feels full of life.

If this single is any indication of what’s to come, I will for sure be keeping an eye out for the EP.
