Golden Coast has a vibe.
After releasing their debut EP last year, they are back once again with a new jam, “Float on By“.
True to form, the new single once again showcases their playful, laid-back Pop abilities. With the lyrics combining equal parts millennial angst and optimism, and the Electronic production remaining pretty minimal (but grooving), when it all comes together it feels just right. Some mellow keys, a bubbling bass and some slapping drums carry the tune beneath the vocals before picking up to an energetic drop.
I think overall my favorite thing about he track happens to just be the songwriting. Tongue in cheek lyrics make the story relatable, memorable and honest. Throw in some nice top lines and some vocoder – you got something here.
