Don’t Trip on Mushroom People

While I don’t know too much about Mushroom People, what I can tell you is that I’m loving their new release.  Hailing from Germany, the Electronic trio were all in Rock groups originally and the influence can can be heard in their new single.

To be honest, it took me a few listens to really get into, “Wisdom Talk“, but now I’m all in.  The crossover record fuses elements from Indie Rock, Pop, and Future Bass seamlessly into a moody, slamming Electronic tune.

With the vocals leaning very Rock/Pop I was originally confused at the production, that is until the build and drop hit… then it all made sense.  The production relies on little more than some soft keys, a fat rounded bass and programmed drums in the verses, allowing the vocals to really take hold.  As for the build and drop?  They take the track to a whole new level.  Ripping synths take hold before fresh guitar licks and oscillating rhythms join the party.

Here’s to hoping Mushroom People keep this up.  I’ll be ok the look out.
