New Jersey based singer/songwriter Erika Wester releases her newest track ‘Nightingale’, a song about being lost and questioning why we’re always hard on ourselves instead of learning from mistakes and moving forwards.
Her soothing and calm vocals are backed by an acoustic guitar, creating a beautiful melody that get’s stuck in your head. Weaving genres together, Erika creates music with a unique, timeless sound.
The lyrics of ‘Nightingale’ come from realising how hard she was on herself in earlier years, instead of allowing herself to make mistakes, learn and grow. “It’s about feeling lost and isolated”, explains Erika, who wrote the song at the verge of a breakup, not knowing where she wanted her life to go.
