At just 17-years old, London-based Lexie Carroll is making music that's well beyond her years. The singer-songwriter is able to effortlessly wield her impressive talents to paint a vivid and vulnerable picture of the realities of simply existing. Her latest single "do you wanna leave this city" is no exception to the rule.

The single brings Lexie's heartfelt, wispy vocals to the forefront as she sings about longing to escape to the middle of nowhere with a special somebody, but with the complexity of not knowing if their feelings match hers. Released alongside the visual is visual comprised of a collage of DIY-style footage that captures the carefree sentiment of the song as we watch Lexie escape to the countryside. “‘Do You Wanna Leave This City’ came from me kind of hating the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s so loud and busy and sometimes I think I’d like to go and live in a cottage in a forest and just knit and drink tea for the rest of my life.
