New to the scene, Bristol based singer/songwriter LENN is ready to bring her vibes to the masses. After releasing her debut single, “I Know How”, earlier this year, she is back once again with her new single, “Cheap Talk”, as well as a 3-pack of newly released remixes.
What stands as the first collaboration between LENN and producer Lex (Starley, SIGMA, Kamille, Hannah Jane Lewis, TS Graye and Rothwell), “Cheap Talk”, is a bubbling yet deep rooted tune that is as jam worthy as it is poignant. About the release, LENN says, “Writing this song was therapy for me. I suppose I had a build-up of feelings that I didn’t know what to do with, but after a good vent, ‘Cheap Talk’ was formed….and now I’m over it [laughs].”
Beyond her dynamic vocals, LENN has found a way to portray emotions that all of us have dealt with through her lyrics. Catchy toplines and a classic arrangement make the original a radio friendly Pop smash, while the remixes aim to connect on the dance floor.
With Lex himself delivering the first remix, he brings a grooving commercial feel by picking up the tempo and letting a far bassline lead the way. Adding some more fuel to the fire, HANNIE deliver an uptempo pop-funk vibe on the second remix and MÜNE completes the set with his uplifting chill-house remix.
