Jeffrey James Unveils Second Single from Forthcoming EP ‘East London’

It was only a few weeks ago since we were introduced to Indiana born, Nashville based singer/songwriter Jeffrey James via his tune, “Downtown”.  Serving as the first single from his forthcoming EP, “East London”, I was immediately taken back by his introspective lyrics and lush vocals – couple that with beautifully dynamic and incredibly clean production and I was instantly hooked.  Not knowing how long I’d have to wait to hear some more, I was more than pleased to see his latest offering sitting in my inbox this week – and once again I am all in.

Giving fans another taste of what they can expect from his new EP, Jeffrey James latest tune, “Slow Right Down”, is a powerful and enchanting track that relies on minimal production and a down tempo groove to help make an impression.  Opening with somber guitar chords and Jeffrey’s soul touching vocals leading the way, the track builds from beginning to end as he pulls the listener into his world.  As the track develops, Jeffrey James allows his vocals to build in unison until he is shedding his soul – and I can’t seem to help hanging on to every note.

About the release, Jeffrey James says, “I wrote Slow Right Down in 2019 when everything in my life was racing forward and I didn’t have time to catch my breath,” writes James. “It was a good problem to have, but it was also overwhelming. As a response, this song became my personal mantra—a meditation—reminding myself that it’s ok to step back, look up every now and then, and just take in the moment.
