Fresh to the scene is Orlando based newcomer Talli. With the release of her debut single, “Lost”, in July, Talii brings a signature blend of R&B and Neo-Soul with a touch of Pop to make sure it connects with the masses.
With influences that include Erika Badu, Sade, Alina Baraz and HER, Talii brings a familiar vibe with a personal touch. Through a sultry and sensitive vocal, the 25 year old succeeds at writing accessible yet touching lyrics cloaked in catchy toplines to make sure she connects right out of the gate.
To bring some more heat to her already impressive debut, Talii enlisted producer Kameo to flip the track to bring an updated club ready vibe. Doing a beautiful job of putting his own personal touch on the release Kameo delivers a Future House / Afro Pop inspired remix that takes the listener on a ride – transforming the energy and switching it up at every turn. Impressive, the remix almost feels like 3 drafts combined into one master – and somehow it works perfectly.
The danceable, deep, grooving remix is the perfect addition to spice things up and personally is where it is at. While I liked the single, I love the remix and it will for sure be in heavy rotation.
