For someone who listens to hundreds of new artists each week, it is never an easy feat for an artists to land heavy rotation in my headphones – Kayo Genesis has been on repeat for the last two weeks with his new single, “Distance”.
Produced by Tairiq and Garfield, the new jam is an absolute bop with a touch of soul. Delivering catchy ass hooks and unforgettable toplines, Kayo lays down those end of the summer vibes, lyrically pleading for space in his relationship as break up season fast approaches. The overall vibe in this one is undeniable – fun, chill and relatable.
To kick things up a notch, Kayo Genesis also self-directed the official video which is as trippy as it is cinematic. The new release is for sure one of my favorite tracks yet from the up and comer and is more than enough to get us excited for the EP he is preparing to drop. Keep it locked.
