LA-based upstart KNDRGRTN today shares his new music video “City of Angels.” Over a moody, alt-rock atmospheric beat, KNDRGRTN talks about “raising hell” in a nonchalant delivery. Directed by Fernando Perez, the visual finds KNDRGRTN still in last night’s clothes the morning after moving through a picturesque LA townhouse interspersed between stunning shots of the city’s skyline. “I come alive in the night time“, he sings as he wanders backstreets against the morning light.
“City of Angels” is one of three singles coming this summer from a new EP slated for a late-July release and continues KNDRGRTN’s ongoing collaboration with producer Beewirks, whose credits include Pusha T and Lil Wayne. The EP follows his well-received debut, “Insert Here”, a 4-song offering for SoundCloud only released in October 2018.
Bringing a combination of punk rock edginess with hip-hop flows over 808s, KNDRGRTN draws from the musical influences of his youth such as Nirvana and Kid Cudi. His upbringing in the eclectic, culture-rich Detroit paved the way for a deep love of music which shows in his present-day artistry.
Expect more new music and visuals throughout summer 2019 and certainly keep KNDRGRTN on your radar. Stay up to date with new music and news by following him on Instagram: @stuckinkndrgrtn.
