L.A. PRODUCER ELPENTHE RELEASES "MISTAKES" FEAT. HALF WOLF

Los Angeles art-pop producer ELPENTHE, aka Elliott Beenk's new single "Mistakes" feat. Half Wolf is a pulsing dance-pop ode to being young, broke and having no cares. Half Wolf detours from the intimate, ethereal, bedroom brand of folk she's known for to explode in indie-pop grandeur on this track. Her honesty and vulnerability is amplified into a fun-filled club banger by ELPENTHE’s pop instincts and stellar production.

When I close my eyes, I imagine that this song takes place at night with colored lights moving across faces while driving from club to club. "I don't stay our late because I can't afford to pay for my mistakes" is the refrain, but this is an extroverted song, where we're out and doing things that we can't afford on a regular basis. This is a song a freedom, where mistakes will be made, and that's all part of life and growing up.

The full EP, ELPENTHE I, is a five track collection of immersive electronic and R&B-inspired bedroom-pop grounded in a love of connection. It was mixed by Grammy nominated engineer Kevin Smith (Harry Styles, Phoebe Bridgers, Frank Ocean) and mastered by Grammy nominated mastering engineer Stuart Hawkes (Lorde, Charli XCX, Amy Winehouse). Beenk has previously collaborated with Janelle Monáe, Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and he just performed in Steve Lacy's new video for “Sunshine feat. Fousheé
