New Zealand artist La Felix has recently released a new tune titled, “Take the Night”, and it is a Nu Disco groover. Inspired by the likes of Daft Punk, Cassius, Justice, Breakbot and Michael Jackson, the new Cookie Records signee finds a way to beautifully blend the nostalgic with the new.
On his latest release, La Felix teams up with Tiger who delivers a smooth and sensual vocal over the clean and dynamic production. Subtle rhythmic synths, rolling basslines and funky guitar riffs come together beneath the dreamy vocals to create an all our groove.
While, “Take the Night”, may feel like it was created years ago, modern production techniques and patches update the vibe for 2018. A solid release from the up and coming producer.
