Hailing from Helsinki, DJ/Producer Lionis has teamed up with Vancouver based vocalist/topline writer Bodhi Jones for his new Progressive House smash, “Rise Above“.Initially teaming up with NYC label Tommy Boy for a remix of Monroe’s, “Wasted Tears“, it wasn’t long before Lionis caught their attention with this original. The uplifting tune sees Bodhi soaring on vocals while Lionis delivers a powerful, captivating production. Starting off with some mellow keys and oscillating synths, the track slowly builds up to the drop where you are hit with pumping synths and pounding drums.
To make the pack even more exciting, Lionis enlisted Elliott Kay, SuperJet and Icon South to put their own spin on the release. First up, Elliott Kay delivers a club ready UK House mix built around lush keys and a pumping bassline that drives from beginning to end.
New York duo SuperJet pick up the pace with a Future Bass flip that showcases their stellar production work via a monstrous drop. Ripping synths and slapping drums make this one hit.
Finally Icon South funks up the pack with a more down tempo, Trap leaning Electronic flip. A quirky, unexpected drop makes this one stand out and puts Icon South in a lane of his own.
