Madison Olds Preps Debut Album ‘Blue’ for Feb. 22

It wasn’t too long ago that we were first introduced to Canadian artist Madison Olds via her single, ‘Thank You“.  Immediately taken by her impressive vocals and quality lyrics, the tune quickly made its way into regular rotation in my headphones.  Finding inspiration from the likes of Ed Sheeran and Julia Michaels, Madison Olds also seems to have a knack for writing accessible yet deep rooted tunes that connect on both a personal and emotional level.

Now preparing to drop her album, ‘Blue“, on Febreuary 22, Madison Olds has recently unleashed a new single titled, “Roses“, and it is yet another stand out track and more than enough to get fans and new listeners alike excited for the forthcoming debut.  Over lush keys and slick guitar riffs Madison soars with a a somber and inspirational performance only further driven home by a dynamic and perfectly crafted arrangement.  About the tune, Madison says, “It’s a song about the struggles and fears associated with loving.

Having worked on the album since 2017, Madison Olds sees the projects release as the next step in her developing career and represents personal snapshots into various life events.  Recorded and produced in London (UK) at Sticky Studios (early albums for Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, One Direction), the album sees Madison holding back some of her more poppier sounds and going back to her singer songwriter roots.  If the singles are any indication of what is to come, I have no doubt this project will be a beaut.  I will be patiently waiting for the drop.
