JaSena Odell, a 21 year old singer/songwriter based in LA, drops her R&B single “Don’t Shoot”.
Speaking on a variety of issues, such as police brutality, race inequality, school shootings, and gun violence, Odell wrote “Don’t Shoot” in hopes to shine a light on the anti-gun violence movement and race inequality. Using her music to promote peace and love, Odell’s “Don’t Shoot” perfectly illustrates the perspectives of a variety of lives whether it be black minorities living in gun-inflicted neighborhoods, police brutality victims, or students affected by school shootings.
“Don’t Shoot” is a soulful political anthem meant to shine a light on gun violence and advocate for proper gun control.
