Having racked up 50M+ streams to date, Berlin based Marcus Layton is ready to kick things up a notch with his new single, “Color”. With a tendency to shy away from making typical club bangers (while he is totally capable) Marcus looks to blur the lines between mainstream and dance.
While his tracks bring plenty of groove and energy, Marcus Layton makes sure to incorporate emotion and soul into his release to make sure they connect on a deeper level. On, “Color”, beautiful vocals are supported by a bright and bubbling production. Sliding basslines, haunting melodies and atmospheric elements carry the verses, building up into a vibrant pluck laden hook.
Traveling between Berlin and LA, Marcus pulls inspiration from the buzzing cities around him. He says, “The sunset – there’s a special light in LA – and this melting pot of cultures and people – LA always inspires me. And “Color” is my way to express this diversity.”
