Mountain Bird Shines with New EP ‘Cubism’

Swedish producer Adam Öhman, best known by his moniker Mountain Bird has been turning heads for the last couple of years with his hypnotizing, Future Bass infused jams.  Over the last few years he has received radio airplay from BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, Radio X, Absolute Radio, Amazing Radio, and garnered fans from the likes of The Line of Best Fit, Clash, The 405, and Ja Ja Ja.

Keeping the pressure on, he has recently released a 4 track EP, “Cubism”, which only further proves that he is an artist to watch.  The lead single from the project, “Moment”, features vocals from Lara and was originally intended as a remix before finding a home on the project.

While Lara soars on the vocals delivering a touching performance in he her signature, ever recognizable tone, Mountain Bird lays down a silky Electronic beat.  Deep pads and snappy drums fill the verses, creating a tension filled atmospheric vibe all building to the drop which come with the addition to some smooth synths and mellow vocal chops.

Somehow Mountain Bird has found a way to blur the lines between Hip Hop, R&B, Future Bass and Electronica.  This one brings enough bounce to make you move and enough emotion to make you feel.  About the record he says, “Lara and I started working on the song’s topline together, and we both had similar things we needed to write about. Back then we were in a period of time, where we needed to learn to leave things behind and focus on the future… So many things happen in your 20s, so the better you are at handling the moment and moving on from those situations, the better everything will turn out. I had a lot of dark energy which I needed to leave, so we thought that would be an interesting theme to write about.

Check the full project below and make sure you keep up with Mountain Bird on his socials so you don’t miss out on what’s next.
