I love getting submissions from around the world. Taking a glimpse into what is happening musically at different corners of the globe is always inspiring to me – and today we are sharing our first tune out of Nigeria.
Twin sisters El’Vee have recently released their new tune, “Feelings”, along with an official music video and the vibe is super on point. The blend of Electronic/Pop production and melodies mixed with authentic and traditional African rhythms and harmonies make this an absolute jam for me.
The energy they bring in both the song and video is undeniable. The driving, percussive production relies on melodic synths, bubbling basslines, and bouncing melodies to fill up the soundscape. While subtle in tone, they perfectly support the vocals and keep the listener on their toes.
For me it is the vocals here that I can’t get enough of. While I may not know what they are saying in spots it is the delivery and vibe that have me hooked. This is a morning jam for sure. Throw this on, get out there and make it happen!
