Noah Kahan Preps Debut Album with ‘False Confidence’ [VIDEO]
Hailing from a 133 acre tree farm in the small, 1000 population town of Strafford Vermont, fast rising singer/songwriter Noah Kahan has been one of my favorite new artists over the last couple of years – and I’m not alone.
Inspired by his surroundings and influenced by the likes of Paul Simon, Ben Howard, and The Lumineers, Noah Kahan began writing at a young age eventually leading up to senior year when his unique take on the world and his knack for crafting a captivating story attracted the attention of world-class songwriters Dan Wilson (Adele), Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes), Chris DeStefano (Carrie Underwood), among others. Of his songwriting and his surroundings, Kahan explains, “My music plays on an introspective space. I’ve learned about the realities of being in the real world but being in the countryside holds a lot of nostalgia for me. I try to capture that. I’m just telling stories while being heartfelt.”
In 2016 Kahan’s talents caught the ear of 20-year-old GRAMMY® Award-winning super producer Joel Little (Lorde, Khalid) and the two went on to record six songs together, which were released through 2017 and helped to launch Noah’s career into the stratosphere. To date, he has racked up hundreds of millions of streams and has found support from the likes of Billboard, Clash Magazine, Idolator, BAEBLE, Ones To Watch and more, and performed live on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
