While New Zealand may have their fair share of notable acts that have blown in the last few years, it is not every day that we find new artists landing in our inboxes. Recently we found a new video from rising Pop duo Foley in our submissions and we have been rocking it ever since.
First launching in 2017 with their debut single, “Settle”, Foley have been able to rack up some impressive numbers to date with a limited number of high quality jams. Their most recent offering, “Stranger”, is a vibrant, upbeat, funk infused tune that brings all the right vibes. Carried by a stunning, dynamic vocal performance, the production relies on retro inspired soundscapes that bring a bit of nostalgia with a new age feel.
The smooth electronic production relies on bubbly basslines, subtle synth melodies, funky guitar riffs and snappy drums to help deliver an undeniable groove. Having landed a coveted slot at New Zealand’s Rhythm & Vines Festival, Foley is ready to dominate the stage with their signature sound and special sauce. Make sure you keep an eye on Foley, I imagine they have a whole lot more up their collective sleeve.
