Peter Jessy Breaks Up with his Small Town in “Leonard”

What may sound like the perfect breakup anthem is actually a track about outgrowing your small town. A message many can relate to, Peter Jessy’s “Leonard” uses his track to declare that the tiny town he grew up in will never hold him back. Paired with a vivid musical landscape, “Leonard” provides ethereal instrumentation and friendly vocals amidst dreamy, misty tones. Currently working on his debut EP, Jessy is focusing on developing his own indie-pop sound. In writing his music, Jessy draws from his own personal experience with mental illness, the LGBT community, and relationships in hopes that others with similar experiences can take comfort in knowing they aren’t alone. If you’re a fan of bands like the 1975, you need to check out “Leonard” today.
