Brooklyn based singer-songwriter, Rum.gold is gearing up for the release of his debut 2019 EP “yaRn” with this gem “Get Through”. The up-and-coming talent premiered his 2-single debut “Where There’s Smoke” and “Cashmere Cage” this past June.
“Get Through” showcases Rum.gold’s delicate, rich vibrato filled vocals. The depth of melody and soul within this track can be best described as intimate with honest and heartfelt lyricism. In this track, Rum.gold features himself on the trumpet and incorporates R&B textures while delicate vocals float over minimalist drums.
“Get Through is a self revelation. It’s about finding that vice to get through a hard place, while also understanding that you wouldn’t be who you are today without going through hardship. It’s about learning to understand that contradiction is natural and if allowed can be incredibly freeing”.
