Rum Jungle fills our cups with Garage Rock Whiskey and Sunset Shoegaze Limes with "Back Home"

Newcastle homestays Rum Jungle have not only filled my cup with my favourite genres to just lose my mind to (that being garage rock, indie and shoegaze), but they have also made me see the sun in a new light. It's no surprise that a band synonymous with other groups like Lime Cordiale could deliver such a masterclass in youthful irritations and nihilistic joy.

"Back Home" is the ocean run track, the one you listen to while you kick the sand, check out the surf, pester the seagulls and eventually grab the sunset mix at the local haunt. It's a rip-roaring garage rock anthem that spends as much time in The Arctic Monkeys sound bar as it does at the IDLES instrument shop.

With other singles like "Everything is Easy" and "Upbeat Lord" I should have known Rum Jungle wasn't going to disappoint, but I was not prepared for the glorious mix of spirits they gave me - It's loud, It's grungey and it's an absolute vibe.
