Here we have some Indie/Electronic, Pop goodness from Swedish outfit Dream Lake.
Following up the release of their most recent single, “Midnight Sun”, they are back once again chasing an endless summer with, “Runaway”. The dreamy release features haunting and airy vocals supported by driving bass lines, beautiful piano and ethereal layers. The track transcends the the usual Pop displays by creating an immersive and enchanting wall of sound. To make the track stand out even more, it was delivered with a simplistic, yet beautiful video to match.
About the tune, vocalist Isabella says, “Runaway is about having fears and that you sometimes must dare to let go of in order to embrace something new into your life.” While love can feel like an unstoppable force, the lyrics remind us that relationships may fade with changing seasons. New opportunities with new people inspire us to be optimistic about the road ahead.”
With several stellar releases already delivered from the project, Dream Lake is set to drop their new album, “Lux”, this week on November 24th. If this tune is any indication of what we can expect, I am very much looking forward to this release. Vibes.
