Savanna Leigh, a 24-year-old indie singer-songwriter based in Nashville, continues to establish herself as an artist who blends vulnerability with captivating storytelling. Her music, marked by confessional lyrics and graceful melodies, has earned her a dedicated audience drawn to her honesty. With the release of her latest single “tightrope” and its accompanying music video, she signals the arrival of her new EP, "for your entertainment", out September 26. Having previously toured with Jonah Marias, Ashley Kutcher, and Edwin Raphael, she has proven her ability to create authentic connections with listeners both on stage and through her recordings.

At its core, "tightrope” reflects on the unraveling of a friendship, underscored by violin and acoustic guitar that gradually swell into an emotional crescendo. Savanna explains, “I wanted to tell the real story behind the song, the best friend breakup I went through in late 2023 with my godbrother… but the real challenge was telling the story between a guy and a girl best friend but through the lens of platonic love and not romantic love.” By focusing on the depth of platonic relationships, she explores a subject often overlooked in music, giving the track a refreshing and heartfelt perspective.

The music video, directed by George O’Reilly and filmed on location in London, deepens the emotional resonance of the song. “We shot the music video for ‘tightrope’ mid summer in London. I always dreamed of shooting a video there, and with the vibe of this song and the friendships we had made in the UK during the spring tour I did earlier this year, I felt it was the perfect time to do it,” Savanna shares. Shot entirely on film, the visuals embrace the song’s bittersweet tone with striking sincerity. She reflects, “Overall, this is my favorite music video I’ve ever done, and it is something I will always look back on and be so proud of.” With this release, Savanna demonstrates her growth as both a songwriter and performer, offering a song that resonates long after it ends.
