Skrillex Teams Up with Boys Noize & Ty Dolla $ign for ‘Midnight Hour’

If you follow the blog, you know that we tend to prefer up and coming artists over Grammy winners, but sometimes we can’t help but hop on board to support some legends.  While Skrillex tends to stay more behind the scenes these days, this year he has been on somewhat of a tear.  Having blessed us with a number of singles and remixes throughout 2019, he is now back with his latest offering – an absolute bomb in collaboration with Boys Noize and Ty Dolla $ign.  His new single, “Midnight Hour”, is an innovative, head turning track that features the sort of originality that initially helped to launch him into mainstream consciousness.

Opening with contemporary chord progressions and smooth R&B vocals, the track takes a quick turn with the addition of some energetic vocal samples and pumping drums turning the tune from a baby making bop into an outright club smash.  The incredibly dynamic brings an insane amount of energy and helps to show other EDM producers – you don’t always need huge builds and bigger drops to make a track hit.

The mind blowing cross-over single is less of a blend and more of a mish-mosh of vibes that all come together seamlessly.  From verse to hook the track transforms and takes the listener along for one helluva ride.  For the amount of success that Skrillex has been fortunate enough to receive, it is tracks like this that help ensure it is all well reserved.  This is an outright smash and I will be rocking it for some time to come.
