Music fans across the world can now enjoy North Carolina singer-songwriter Doug E Shaffer's latest album Spark Of Life .

Featuring songs about relationship ups and downs, as well as a desire to be more for someone else, Spark of Life is Shaffer's most relatable and accessible work. Spark of Life manages to cleverly navigate growing and changing throughout one's relationships.

The latest album Spark Of Life was recorded at Flytrap Studios in Winston Salem by Doug E Shaffer and producer Doug Davis. Shaffer wrote most of the songs at home on a 24-track, then used them as a guide for recording in the studio.

Spark Of Life was Doug E Shaffer's attempt to make a more universal album. There are songs about relationships, hard times, hunger for love, and seeking a better life and a better love, as well as about seeking happiness and a better life.

Doug E Shaffer hails from New Jersey's northeastern part, outside of New York City, and now lives in North Carolina. With a wide range of styles to choose from, he sees himself as a songwriter capable of adapting to many genres. Smokey Robinson remains the pivotal influence throughout his music, along with Burt Bacharach and Jimmy Webb.
