Taija New Drops New Single ‘Couture’ [VIDEO]

Hailing from Springfield, Massachusetts, buzzing artist Taija New a.k.a., The Newbian King has been grinding and turning heads since she officially launched her solo career back in 2015. Her debut EP, “Color Me Complex“, was praised for lead single, “Newbian King“, and quickly helped to push Taija New into artist to watch status back at home. Honing her skills at open mics around town, Taija New continued to build her catalog while perfecting her live performance abilities. Since getting started, Taija New has become an ally and familiar face in the LGBTQ+ community, performing at Pride celebrations around the country while also landing on stages aside acts like Jennifer Hudson, Todrick Hall, K.Michelle, and Tiffany Evans.

Most recently, Taija New has released her new single, “Couture“, produced by NY Bangers on which she displays a fine balance between smooth melodies and hard-hitting bars. About the track, she says, “Being a 90s baby, “Couture” was the song that I always wanted to write and record. As soon as I heard the beat that was produced by NY Bangers, I could not stop my pen from writing; I knew exactly where I was going with the feel for this one. The entire song is about the feeling and vibe it gives you all while bringing across an important message, “I don’t compete to you better not sleep, or you might lose me!” I wanted the ladies to feel the power in their worth!“”

With COVID putting a halt to her scheduled live performances, Taija has been putting her energy into the studio, where she has been steadily racking up tunes to continue her push into 2021. A fearless female MC with a message to be heard, Taija is dead set on making some major waves. Tune in.
