Tep No Takes On Debut Single From Cooper & Gatlin ‘Break’

For some people, music is in their blood.  Raised in Franklin, Tennessee, brother and sister duo Cooper & Gatlin grew up spending time on tour with their mother and hanging around their fathers studio – from a young age, they knew they also wanted to follow in their parents footsteps and make music.

Since moving to LA in 2014, they have been spending their time honing their songwriting skills and preparing to launch their solo careers.  The first offering from the budding duo came in the form of, “Break”, a poignant, left-of-center Pop jam that touches on feelings  facing your ex in the aftermath of a break up.  Beautifully written and performed, Cooper & Gatlin’s debut puts their best foot forward and sets the tone for what’s to come.

To spice things up a bit, production wiz Tep No has been brought in to flip the track – and the results are stunning.  After only one listen, he seemed more than impressed by the new duo and was excited to get his hands on the tune.  Going for a laid back, organic feel, Tep No incorporates beautiful guitar riffs, a captivating drop and just the right amount of groove to transform the single.  With the vocals/lyrics sitting front and center, Tel No is able to enhance the emotion while also helping the track appeal to a much broader audience.

While the original is a jam in its own right, Tep No kicks things up a notch.  About the remix, he says, “it’s one of the best remixes I’ve made, the drop is insane, listen to it!
