Tapping into the depths of her nostalgia, young pop artist Tishmal is back with a danceable and captivating new high "You Get So High". Relatable to anyone who's had a crush or first love in high school, "You Get So High" delivers dreamy musical elements with heart-on-sleeve storytelling, talking about drugs and skater influences that she grew up around. Interwoven with grief from the loss of a friend, this versatile artist has a way of capturing those heavy feelings that stay with us as memories over the years.
About Tishmal: Tishmal is the debut solo project of Rachel Brockbank. Tishmal means “hummingbird” in Luiseño, the language of her Native American heritage. The name was given to her as a young girl, around the same time she began to write music. Tishmal’s star is rapidly rising, opening dates for CHVRCHES, Zara Larsson, The Aces, Hippie Sabotage, and XYLØ. Her brand of brooding, poetic pop is finding a home with fans of other female powerhouses like Lorde and Tove Lo. Starting 2021 on a high, Tishmal featured on Kaskade’s dance hit “New James Dean” as well as doing an exclusive live session with Free People and Allsaints. Tishmal will be reaching new heights in 2022, releasing original music in collaboration with producer Christian Medice and Daniel Pashman.
