Fresh off a string of US tour dates supporting Bonobo and Bob Moses, London based, GRAMMY winning songwriter (Sam Smith – Stay With Me) and electronic musician William Phillips aka Tourist is keeping it rolling with the release of his, “Wash EP“, and new video for one of the stand out tracks, “Sleepwalking“. Visually, the awkward, playful and cinematic video adds the perfect accompaniment to the tune.
The tune which features, Swim Mountain & Esther Joy is a pulsating, vibrant slice of Electronica done in true Tourist form. Developing over time, the release is a vivid and ethereal release portraying a beautiful story to play out in the mind of the listener. Already stunned with the lead single, “We Stayed Up All Night“, which we recently featured, the full project is nothing short of a stand out release – something any music lover should be able to appreciate.
About the new EP, Tourist says, “With this new music I wanted to make something that was more reflective of who I am now and how my life has changed over the past year. I moved out of my windowless studio and started writing from home again. I think subconsciously I’ve started writing more joyous, colourful music and I’ve loved being more collaborative once again. These tracks are my favourite music I’ve produced so far, Tourist will always change with each release and I’ve loved pushing the sound into a new place.”
