Time is of the essence, watch Wish Master’s new video for ‘Don’t Waste Time (Ft. CW Jones)’. It’s the third set of visuals to drop from the Bristol MC’s recent album The Bull (The Best Underrated Living Legend), with Wish encouraging fans to stay dedicated to their dreams.
Delivered via a light-hearted animation which counter-balances the cautionary message, Wish Master lavishes gems of lyrical wisdom from the start ‘til finish, with his West Country inner-city twang. He enlists rising singer CW Jones to conjure up a heartfelt hook that’s as sombre as it is inspiring.
Known for his hard grind and introspective writing, the boom-bap beat allows ample space for Wish Master’s thought-provoking pengame. He steps back and analyses himself from all angles: “A real man can look himself in the mirror, and he’s looking much deeper than his appearance.”
Describing the themes of the track, Wish explains how the levels transcend his artistry: “It’s a representation of me not just as an artist, but as a matured being on a deeper level.”
