Scott Melker and Skinny Friedman are back with another hard hitting single. When the two linked up together to form Funkontrol they promised fans a perfect blend of EDM and classic Hip-Hop. Their new single “Wake Up in the Morning” is exactly that, plus more. The massive EDM drums mixed with cleverly chopped vocal samples are bound to make your head nod.
The track pays homage to the old school scratching techniques that made the New York Hip-Hop scene in the late 80’s and early 90’s so legendary. Funkontrol took the sound and expanded on it, creating their own unique bounce and style.
