While new duo Yes Please may have only officially launched their project last year, they have been able to lock in some impressive support so far thanks to their fresh vibes, original swag and genre bending releases. Between their seven singles, Yes Please have been able to take in over 1M streams while finding regular playlist placements on Apple Music – even locking in a world premiere with Zane Lowe on the platform for their single, “Bikini Bottom”.
Hot on the heels of that joint, Yes Please have recently unveiled their latest slap, “Half Nelson”, and it is a high energy release that blends indie textures with urban influences wile also appealing to the Pop lovers of the world. Fresh guitar licks, super catchy melodies and playful lyrics help this one to fire on all cylinders. About the release, Yes Please says, “Half Nelson is a song about someone who you thought you fully understood and belonged with, then they start acting different towards you and mess everything up.”
After a successful 2019 which saw the group get rolling, it seems they are showing no sign of letting up, having already dropped two singles in the new year. I can’t say for sure, but I can’t help but think Yes Please have a whole lot more up their sleeves. Make sure you keep tabs.
