Based in the Netherlands, Nick van Hofwegen, better known by his stage name Young & Sick, has just released his brand new EP, “No Static“. The new project follows up on January’s, “Ojai EP“, and is yet another brilliant addition to his growing catalog.
The first single from the project, the self-titled, “No Static“, was released last month and Nick described it as, “…a song about how hard it is to follow your own advice at times. How difficult it proves to be to do the right thing all the time, even if your compass is steady. I hear you loud and clear all love, no static…“
While the full project hit all digital stores today, Young & Sick also built anticipation with the release of the second single, “Letting Go of Giving Up“, a beautifully produced Indie Pop tune with a bit of Nu Disco flare. The vibrant release not only showcases Young & Sick‘s penchant for great song writing, but also allows him to flex his impressive musicality. Jazzy embellishments pepper the track to keep things interesting while the overall groove never lets up.
