Beat the Monday blues with “Marlin’s Dreaming” latest release

Cheeky Kids” by New Zealand band Marlin’s Dreaming is like entering a psychedelic dream with the comfort of being hugged by a hundred Care Bears. I can’t help but be reminded of MacDeMarco as the glittering guitar lead dances its way throughout the track. Paired with a 70’s drum beat and groovy walking bass line this track is a polished work of art.

The fortuitous lyrics really play into the theme of transcendence. Marlin’s Dreaming explained their technique as, “jamming a chord progression and just singing about what was written all over the walls. So, the song is about what was written on the walls in crayon- intertwined with a bit of glittery ad lib

It may be a Monday but this is a track to banish those blues.
